About me

Hi, I'm Shana!

I’ve had a passion for the camera since I was a child. I started off in filmmaking and spent many of my teenage years making my own short movies, which led me to have a love for using a camera. .

I went on to study photography and gained invaluable experience in different areas of photography. Starting off as an assistant to a renowned photographer which included wedding and event photography. I also dabbled in music photography where I shot various artists in Ireland and the UK. Including high profile venues such as the 3 Arena, Electric Ballroom London and the Olympia to name a few.

In 2009, I crossed over to the “dark side” and got a job as a paparazzi. I loved doing the events side of things so thought this might be something I’d enjoy, but soon came to realise it wasn’t for me. It was very high pressured and took its toll on me.

For a long time after my paparazzi days, I didn’t return to photography (my bad experience had almost made me lose interest, which was an awful shame as it had always been something I loved doing). I’d reached a dead end at this point, so I decided to study other forms of art, including graphic & web design.

As a photographer, one of the most important skills you can have is photoshop. Luckily enough I was always referred to as a “Photoshop Wizard” and decided to further enhance my skills. I went back to college again to do Web & Graphic Design and upon completion, got a full-time job as a Design & Web Developer with a digital marketing agency.

Following the death of my lovely mam in 2014, who was not only my best friend but my number 1 fan. She always encouraged me to pursue my dreams, no matter how big or small. Therefore, I decided to pick up my camera again using my hobby to clear my head and take my mind off things.  Photography has since turned into an almost therapeutic hobby of mine again in recent years, so that’s why I decided to showcase some of my images via social media and set up my own online store.

Anyway, that’s enough about me, I really hope you enjoy browsing through my gallery.

If you’ve any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
